BACKGROUND
FXBT Health is Tanzanian non-governmental organization which was established in 2012 and is based in Dar es Salaam. FXBT Health supports implementation of innovative, evidence based models of health systems strengthening focused on the integration of maternal, newborn and child health services, community ownership and quality improvement. The FXBT Health mission is to improve the health of women, children, youth and families affected by HIV in Tanzania and to build capacity. in the communities and systems that serve them.
FXBT Health is seeking for individuals to fill the following vacant positions. These positions will be based in Dar es Salaam
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide support in the development of all materials which entails conducting background research, follow up with partners on feedback and provide input for reports
Provide support in the update and maintenance of the PMTCT website and other communication and
coordination avenues
Work closely with other staff in updating and disseminating FXBT health products such as the PMTCT
partners catalogue
Coordinate meetings and conference calls which will include preparing meeting summaries, preparing agendas, arrange logistics and procure meeting materials
Assume primary responsibility for proper filling of all copies of legal documents, communication documents and other FXBT health documents
Coordinate all aspects of domestic and international travel for FXBT health staff and consultants
Liaise with local vendors to ensure timely delivery of office requirements
Undertake other responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Undergraduate degree in science or other related field
At least two years of work experience desirably in the
HIV/AIDS field or maternal newborn and child health
Excellent writing and report-writing skills
Knowledge of issues faced by developing countries with high HIV prevalence
Experience in coordinating teamwork of multiple external and internal partners
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to positively represent the FXBT health in diverse cultural settings
