The Capital Markets and Securities Authority is an independent Government Agency established under the CMS Act No.5 of 1994 for the purpose of designing and implementing purposeful measures which will enable the creation and development of sustainable capital markets that are efficient, transparent, orderly, fair and equitable to all.
To increase its capability to effectively carry out its mandate, the Capital Markets and Securities Authority is seeking to engage self motivated, competent, and qualified Tanzanian citizens to fill the following vacant positions:
Director of Market supervision and-Market Development

Supervises: Market Supervision and Market Development Managers
Entry Qualifications
Holder of a Master's degree in Economics or Business Administration with specialization in Finance or Accounting with twelve years of work experience, five of which must be in a senior managerial position in a reputable institution. .
Duties and Responsibilities .
To head the Directorate of Market Supervision and Market Development
Training of securities dealers and investment advisers,
Analysing financial and other performance reports of listed companies.
Carrying out Onsite and offsite inspection of licensed dealing members, custodians, collective investment schemes, investment advisors and fund managers,
Participating in public education programmes on capital markets development,
Designing and implementing a risk based supervision program for the securities industry
Carrying out market surveillance to ensure orderly, fair and transparent dealing in securities,
Taking part in research and/or implementing projects related to capital market supervision and
development for the purposes of creating an enabling environment for the orderly growth and
development of the securities industry,
Taking part in the evaluation of applications for licencing or registration of capital markets-intermediaries
Participating in capital markets regional integration issues relating to market supervision
Participating in the evaluation and review of applications for public issuance of securities
Performing any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Chief Executive Officer.
