Unilever Tea Tanzania Limited is a plantation company operating under Unilever Tea, East Africa (UTEA). UTTL employs over 5,500 employees whose safety and security are very important to the business.
We are currently looking to hire Payroll Assistant for our Tanzania business (Human Resources Department). This role will be Office/field based and requires candidates with knowledge for the job. If you are looking for a career in

Department: Human Resources Department
Reports to: Human Resources Business Partner,
Business Context and Main Purpose of the Job
To manage, supervise and deliver UTT non-management Payroll for Sub Staff and General Labour and provide payroll activities and returns support to Unit Payrolls.
Main Accountabilities of Payroll Assistant
Process accurate and timely payroll data to bank
Execute payroll accounting and reconciliation
Ensure accurate and timely calculation and remittance of individual pay advice to pay institutions
To input to payroll systems against new Collective Bargaining Agreement, transfer, promotions and
appointments for payroll accuracy
Process statutory deductions, report and remit to finance for pay-outs i.e. tax, NSSF, PPF, etc
Prepare and submit timely monthly payroll Service Level Agreement reports
Implement payroll KPls to manage process verification and compliance
Computation of final benefits during exit processes
Prepare annual reports and manage end year processes such as taxation and provisions
Provide ad-hoc data and supplementary reports as required from time to time
Record and track customer service levels i.e. case tracking for through-put to manage customer expectations and payroll queries
Track case and grievances progress and resolutions to report on monthly basis to HRBP
Ensure accurate and timely processing of tax issues and manage data integrity and confidentiality by third party
Ensure employees get their Pay Slips within due timeline
Provide payroll KPls reports and data as required.
Relevant Skills and Experience
Bachelors Degree in Business related field
2- 3years experience in payroll management '
Knowledge of HRM and payroll software will be an added advantage
Highly analytical
Attention to detail
Good Interpersonal and Communication skills
