The Embassy of the United States of America in Kigali is recruiting for the position of Driver. The position is available to start immediately.
DUTIES
Controls motor vehicle use and driver assignments to provide efficient transportation service to the Embassy including all agencies subscribing to Motor Pool services under ICASS, and TDY visitors.

REQUIREMENTS:
1. Completion of secondary school required.
2. Two years’ experience as driver or automotive mechanic required; one year basic supervisory experience required.
3. Applicants must have a valid Class B (Sedans, Vans, SUVs) Driver License.
4. Level III written and spoken English and Level IV Kinyarwanda required.
5. Incumbent must be familiar with the location of government offices, utility companies, diplomatic missions, and a range of other locations both in Kigali and in the field; knowledge of local driving regulations, timing to different locations for purposes of efficient scheduling.
6. Computer literacy with database and excel programs. Strong interpersonal skills in order to deal effectively with customers under stressful circumstances, negotiate assignments for conflicting requests, etc.
