HEALTH LABORATORY SCIENTIFIC OFFICER GRADE II - 2 POSTS

Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences is inviting applications from suitably qualified Tanzanians to be considered for employment to fill the following vacant posts:-
Health Laboratory Scientific Officer Grade II - 2 Posts.
Required Qualification
Holder of Bachelor Degree/Advanced Diploma in Medical Laboratory
Sciences or B.Sc. Degree or Advanced Diploma in relevant field of specialization from a recognized Institution. Registration as Scientist! Health Scientific Officer or Biomedical Engineer by a competent authority is mandatory.

Duties and Responsibilities
Organizes practical for undergraduate students .
Participates in consultancy projects under close supervision of senior staff.
Assists in consultancy, research and development in health field.
Assists staff in their research and development activities. Plans and supervises maintenance of laboratory workshop equipments and facilities.
Prepares manuscripts, laboratory practical and other relevant needs.
Instructs undergraduate and postgraduate students during practical. Develops and modifies student's experiments and experimental signs in consultation with academic members of staff.
Supervises ana orients Technicians and Artisans in their duties. Conducts on the job training for Technicians and artisans. Guides technicians and Artisans in their daily activities
Performs complex repairs and maintenance of laboratory facilities Performs any other related duties as may be assigned by one's reporting officer.
Salary Scale: PUSS 6-7

Form IV and Form VI result slips are strictly not accepted. Presentation of forged academic certificates and other information in the CV will necessitate to legal action.
Applicants currently employed in the public service should route their application letters through their respective employers.
Applicants should indicate three reputable referees with their reliable contacts.
Certificates from foreign Universities should be verified by Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) or National Accreditation Council for Technical Education (NACTE) for foreign non degree certificates
