Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences is inviting applications from suitably qualified Tanzanians to be considered for employment to fill the following vacant posts:-

Lecturer -11 Posts.
Required Qualification Appropriate PhD or MMed/MDent.
A minimum GPA of 3.8 in the Undergraduate Training from recognized University.
Area of specialization
Anatomy, Biochemistry, Clinical Pharmacology, Haematology and Blood Transfussion, Ophthalmology, Pathology, Physiology, Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Environmental and Occupational Helalth Sciences, Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Parasitology and Medical Entomology, Pharmaceutics, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmacognosy, Pharmaceutical Microbiology, Nursing Management, Clinical Nursing, Orthodontics Paedodontics and Community Dentistry, Restorative Dentistry, Oral and Maxlofacial Surgery, Biological and pre clinical studies, Natural Medicine, Botany Agronomy and Plant breeding, Natural Products development and formulation.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develops curriculum and participates in its implementation.
Carries out lectures, conducts tutorials, seminars and practicals for undergraduate students.
Conducts seminars for Postgraduate students.
Assesses undergraduate students coursework and academic progress.
Invigilates students during examinations.
Sets and marks assignments, tests and examinations and submit results on time.
Prepares manuals and case studies for training. Participates in multi disciplinary research projects.
Provides close supervision and guidance to undergraduate students. Participates in developing and managing various university activities. Participates in writing Research Grants.
Participates in research, and publishing/disseminate of results. Participates in consultancy and community services. Attends reorganizes workshops, conferences and symposia.
Participates in Continuing Education and Professional (CEP) and faculty development activities to improve teaching skills including facilitation. Provides specialized clinical and Community services where applicable for in-patients and out-patients.
Supervises case presentations and participates in training other staff. Performs any other duties that may be assigned by competent authority
Salary Scale: PUTS 4 - 5

Form IV and Form VI result slips are strictly not accepted. Presentation of forged academic certificates and other information in the CV will necessitate to legal action.

Certificates from foreign Universities should be verified by Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) or National Accreditation Council for Technical Education (NACTE) for foreign non degree certificates
