Required Qualifications
Holder of First Degree/Advanced Diploma in Accountancy or Bachelor of Accounts and Finance (BAF) . Must have been registered by NBAA
duties and Responsibilities
Performs a variety of accounting tasks including receiving and paying out cheques.
Maintains accurate accounts records. Prepares trial balance.
Checks the correctness of claims and retirements ensuring that they are support=d by appropriate authority/evidence.
Acts as custodian of accountable documents.
Prepares monthly trial balance and bank reconciliation statements. Prepares monthly salaries and
related returns.
Maintains debtors and creditors records.
Prepares financial statements.
Checks accuracy of payment vouchers.
Prepares monthly trial balance and bank reconciliation statements. Prepares monthly salaries and related returns.
Maintains debtors and creditors records.
Prepares financial statements
Handles revenue collection.
Prepares periodicals and/or annual financial statements of revenue and expenditure.
Facilitating implementation of directorate performance targets. Assists in reviewing accounting instruction manuals.
Participates in preparation of final accounts, budgeting and budget controls.
Posts and balances ledger accounts.
Prepares, maintains and controls various project funds.
Posts and balances ledger accounts.
Prepares graphic charts, maps and illustrations by using computer techniques.
Performs any other duties as may be assigned by one's reporting Officer.
