9. Gas Plant Maintenance Supervisor (Mechanical Engineer)- (4 Posts)
Location: SongoSongo, Mnazi Bay
Reports To: PLANT ENGINEER
9.0 JOB SUMMARY
Maintenance Supervisor (Mechanical Engineer) is responsible for; Supervision and management of mechanical components of the Facility
Ensure overall efficient function of all mechanical equipment such as engines, electric motors, compressors, pumps, fired heaters, filtration equipment, heat exchangers, air coolers, cooling towers, pressure vessels, valves, pressure relief devices, and other specialty items
Monitor performance of mechanical equipment and make adjustments/interventions to ensure 100%
continuous availability of mechanical equipment required {or the Facility to achieve its Performance Targets Responsible for the Safety of Direct Reports and the integrity of all mechanical equipment
Assist in developing and manage approved Department Capital and Operating Budgets
Ensure all maintenance work is conducted under HSE, OSHA and Environmental Regulations
9.1 PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure safe operation of all Mechanical Equipment in compliance with the highest international safety standards
Supervise and manage, install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe, following specifications, blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings, using hand tools, power tools, hoist, crane, and measuring and testing instruments
Install and maintain pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for steam, install air-conditioning systems, compressors, pumps, meters, pneumatic and hydraulic controls, and piping, using hand tools and power tools, and following specifications and blueprints Supervise and manage Maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all mechanical, hydraulic and diesel¬powered equipment
Supervise and coordinate all activities associated with maintenance and repair of all mechanical components in the Facility; Manage Warehouse Stock tor emergency and pi armed maintenance spares for all mechanical equipment
Technical resource for troubleshooting operations issues and problem solving; provide hands-on coaching to
Technicians and maintenance staff
Conduct inspections of all mechanical equipment and rectify any identified defects; Ensure all statutory and code
inspections are carried out as per Inspection Schedule
Assist in developing and implementing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), and execute all Preventive Maintenance (PM) and major maintenance activities; develop and implement a Condition-Based Maintenance Program to support CMMS
9.2
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. A Master's Degree would be an asset
Minimum of five (5) years' Experience leading Mechanical Maintenance Teams in a Process or Petrochemical
Plant Environment
Demonstrable PC/software skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office; Skill Sets in CMMS and
Condition-based Equipment Monitoring would be an asset
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, ctiagrams, and service manuals
Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a positive attitude and Team-based
interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/wORK ENVIRONMENT Long Hours in the Field, at times under extreme weather conditions 12 hour shifts; 28 Day Rotation
Assume responsibility, be flexible, perform duties and handle multiple tasks under potentially stressful and/or hazardous conditions
