The Embassy of the United States of America in Kigali is recruiting for the position of Telephone Technician at full performance or training level in the Information Management Section. The position is available to start immediately. Only respond to the level for which you are qualified and note FSN-8 or FSN-7T in your application letter. Please do not apply for both Trainee and Full Performance Levels of the position.
DUTIES
Under the general supervision of the IMO, the incumbent of this position is responsible for the installation and repair of telephone systems and instruments in U.S. Government Offices and official residences.

REQUIREMENTS:
All applicants MUST address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item.
1. Completion of secondary school is required.
2. Minimum two to three years (FSN-8 level) or one year experience (FSN-7T level) as Telephone Technician is required.
3. Level III English is required. Level IV (fluent) in French and Kinyarwanda is required.
4. Must have full journeyman level of teletype equipment repair trade knowledge, including the ability to read blueprints, engineering specifications and wiring diagrams.
5. Must be able to operate teletype equipment of all types.
*Qualifications will be tested.
