SUMMARY
Casals is seeking qualified Procurement Associate candidates for an anticipated USAID/OTI funded project. The Procurement Associate works with the Grant Management Teams (GMT) and in consultation with grantees to procure all goods and services required for the effective implementation of in-kind grant activities. Procurement Associates are responsible for the expeditious procurement and delivery of goods and services and upholding Casals commitment to transparency and competition in procurement.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist in administration of USAID/OTI grants program. • Assist with the contractual and financial aspects of grants and their disbursement. • Ensure compliance with Casals and USAID/OTI procurement procedures. • Manage procurement under grants, track inventory and disposition of goods.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
• Knowledge of procurement and logistics, particularly within country context. • Previous experience working with USAID highly desirable. • Complete fluency in oral and written English and the local language.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
• Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience in procurement, logistics, and/or administration.
PHYSICAL & WORKING REQUIREMENTS
• Living and work conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable • Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions • Personnel should be capable of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions
TRAVEL
Must be willing to live in the country where the project is to take place and travel if necessary throughout the country.
