APPOINTMENT OF TRAINING CAPTAIN
Air Malawi Ltd, the national airline of the Republic of Malawi, invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the position of Training Captain existing in the company. This is a challenging senior position.
Qualifications
Reporting directly to the Operations Director, the Training Captain’s major duties include:-
- Holder of a valid Airline Transport Pilots Licence
- A type rating on the B737 and a minimum experience of 500 hours in command on the type
Duties and Responsibilities
- Carry out training or conducting a check as directed on flight crew;
- Correcting any procedure not in accordance with the Flight Crew Training Manual, Operations Manual or the Requirements;
- Supervising ground and en-route training;
- Familiarizing flight crew with the latest operational procedures;
- If holding a relevant authorization, carrying out Licence Proficiency Checks / Skill Tests and Instrument Rating Revalidation Tests as directed and Operator Proficiency Checks and Line Checks on behalf of the airline;
- Making proposals for improving safety standards and efficiency in training and line operations;
- Completing training and check forms promptly on completion of the training or check and forwarding the completed forms to the appropriate office;
- Where so qualified, revalidating Pilot Licences as appropriate on satisfactory completion of a test or check;
