Location:

Main Responsibilities:
•Support the project in coordinating day-to-day operational activities
o Structure the project: define activities, responsibilities, and deliverables that support project objectives
o Manage project development from beginning to end
o Develop project work plan
o Develop internal communications documents / templates
o Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
o Develop, follow-up, and monitor the project budgets, costing, and financing
o Monitor time assignments of staff affected to project staff time assignments
o Track project milestones and deliverables
o Develop escalation process to enable active project risk management
•Manage subcontractors
o Define activities, structure contracts, and define budgets
o Monitor implementation
•Assist the Program Leader in the development of new projects and the management of applications for funding
•Manage project grants and ensure timely submission of all required reports or other deliverables to funder
•Assist in preparing periodic progress reports for funders
•Assist the Project Coordinator(s) in estimating resource needs, including human resources, and selection process to achieve project goals
•Provide regular updates on the project to the Chief Operating Officer
•Assist the Chief Operating Officer and the legal advisor in contract management issues related to the project
•Execute administrative tasks that have been agreed upon with the project coordinator
•Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
•Commercial, business, economist or international development degree
•Experience as project manager
•Experience in business analysis and writing a business plan
Competencies:
•Knowledge / training and experience with project management and program administration, including budget management
•Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team, good diplomatic skills to engage with external partners including institutional counterparts
•Excellent organizational skills and ability to work autonomously
•Ability to adapt and be flexible in a dynamic work environment
•Willingness and ability to travel
•Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office® and proficient knowledge of Microsoft Project® or other relevant project management software
Languages:
•Strong written and oral communication skills (both written and verbal) in French and English
Conditions of Employment:
