Tearfund is currently seeking a Health Exit Project Manager for its disaster management programme in South Sudan.
Based in Juba with frequent travel to project sites in Omdurman, Motot and Kodok, the successful candidate would be responsible for coordinating the phase out of Tearfund from Primary Health Care in South Sudan and managing a sustainable handover of 18 established health clinics to NGO partners within the region.
With strong communication, negotiation and representation skills the post holder will be required to represent Tearfund to a range of stakeholders and government bodies including village communities, local authorities, NGOs, the Ministry of Health, institutional donors, and UN authorities, sharing information at all stages of the exit and co-ordinating stakeholders as required. They will be proficient at both verbal and written communication, with excellent administrative abilities.
The Health Exit Project Manager will have previous project management experience and be competent at working independently. Excellent organisational skills are essential. The role will also require an understanding of the principles and processes of capacity building partners and government stakeholders where necessary, including analysing assessments and identifying training needs, devising appropriate training solutions and workable action plans.
Previous experience in relief & development is preferred. All posts involve potential contact with children and the recruitment process will include specific checks related to child protection issues.
Unaccompanied Role Salary: £21,619 plus a competitive benefits package
