To manage the implementation and coordination of health and nutrition for the WV DRC MYAP Project in Eastern DRC Including: planning, documentation, monitoring, evaluation, research, and training
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and set up the health/nutrition focus of MYAP (PM2A, Care Groups for BCC and WASH activities) in coordination with Food Security and Women’s Empowerment, DME, and Finance
- Build links between the health/nutrition programs and other programs to maximize integration (e.g. WASH, livelihood's, education, peace-building)
- Plan and coordinate health/nutrition assessments of existing and new project areas as needed in coordination with DME
- Engage in developing the health/nutrition components of the strategy at the regional and national level
- Prepare professional quality written reports
Management and Monitoring : - Design materials to monitor and supervise health/nutrition staff
- Supervise the health and nutrition coordinators
- Establish work plans and coordinate staff performance
- Actively promote and facilitate intra and inter team discussions
- Provide coaching and mentoring in the area of health and nutrition of the field staff
- Ensure that all projects are implemented in accordance with the agreed upon project timelines
- Compile monthly progress and technical reports for donors and SMT
- Establish and maintain World Vision and other best practice standards for health/nutrition programs
- Ensure that project monitoring occurs and potential health/nutrition projects are identified
- Conduct evaluations of all health/nutrition related projects in collaboration with DME
- Promote local capacities for peace by periodic analysis of program impact on and potential for conflict between beneficiaries and non-beneficiaries, and adjust program accordingly in collaboration with PO and DME
- Ensure that Gender and protection mainstreamed in all activities and within the community
- Ensure standardization in all programs, timely purchase and transportation of goods to the project.
Coordination : - Liaison and coordination with the Medecins Chef de Zone, other BCZ team members, Pronanut and other NGOs working in similar operational areas
- Maintain good relationships with government, UN and partner agencies
- Engage in health, nutrition,WASH and food security cluster activities
Documentation&Training : - Ensure monthly statistical reports on nutrition/health program operations are compiled and written reports on each site's requirements are done
- Ensure that project narrative and financial reports are completed and submitted to donors through the programming team
- Compile gifts-in-kind lists and budgetary requirements
- Assess, design and implement appropriate training programs to equip and upgrade knowledge and skills of health/nutrition staff in PM2A, Care
- Groups and WASH
- Build capacity of health teams with reference to community processes. Mentor and train WV staff, and mentor and support the staff at partnering health centres.
- Document training program results

Financial Management - Collaborate with finance regarding development and management of project budget and timely reporting
- Ensure expenditures are within budget and in compliance with financial standards
- Ensure that monthly cash projections are prepared and submitted to finance
- Coordinate all purchases and requisitions with supply chain team
- Program Assessment and Design:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- In sympathy with Christian values
- Attend and participate in daily devotions and weekly Chapel services.
- Masters of Public Health, Nutrition or Nursing
- 3- 5 years large scale health care program management and nutrition experience , preferably in a Humanitarian Response context
- Experience in working in conflict situations and distance management
PREFERRED: - Excellent English and French communication skills (oral and written)
