Action Against Hunger (ACF) is an international hu-manitarian NGO. For over thirty years it has been implementing Food Security and Livelihoods, Nu-trition, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene activities in Lira, Gulu, Amuru, Nwoya, Kaabong, Napak and Moroto Districts.
Base Administrator - Kaabong
ACF is looking for a Base Administrator for its Kaabong office. The person will be under the direct supervision of the Head or Region and will be re-sponsible for finance and human resources manage-ment, and ensure respect and proper implementation of rules, regulations and procedures at base level.
Responsibilities
♦ Responsible for finance at base level by ensuring the respect of ACF finance procedures related to cash management and bank transactions;
♦ Monthly cash forecasting;
♦ To make payments , advances and transfers;
♦ Accountancy using SAGA software;
♦ Cash and Bank reconciliations, internal control;
♦ Implementation and follow up of HR policies & procedures at base level;
♦ Keep the database on staff updated:/nake sure all documents are in the local employees' individual files and check that all files are complete;
♦ Organize the process of recruitment with the Pro-gram Managers and •participate in interviews;
♦ Prepare staff contracts;
♦ Prepare staff payroll;
♦ Leave and overtime administration;
♦ Maintain proper filing system for all documents;
♦ Manage 2 cleaners/cooks in Kaabong.

Academic Qualifications:
♦ University degree in Business Administration or related field.
Experience:
♦ Minimum of 2 years similar work experience with another NGO;
♦ Experience in SAGA accounting software a con-siderable asset;
♦ Experience and familiarity with Ugandan labour laws.
Specific Skills :
♦ Fluent English;
♦ Professional computer skills, including MS "Word, Excel, internet, and email;
♦ Good management, communication, teamwork spirit, and capacity building;
♦ Ability to work independently when necessary, set realistic goals, and work within agreed time lines;
♦ Ability to communicate and perform within an international and multicultural team.
♦ Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to sup-port, motivate, and train staff.
