World Relief is looking for a suitably qualified South Sudanese National to fill the vacancy of Roving Education Project Officer

JOB SUMMARY (Overall Purpose)
World Relief South Sudan Program Education Sector is responsible for the development and management of projects designed to increase the capacity of communities to ensure equitable access to quality educational opportunities, particularly for girls. The program supports activities that enhance delivery of quality education through teacher training/mentoring and provision of materials, as well as improvement of the learning environment by supporting communities to rehabilitate or construct educational institutions and capacity building.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure effective implementation of project activities according to the work plan approved by donors.
Work with the local education and related stakeholders at State, Payam and community levels to ensure smooth planning, monitoring and follow-up of project activities.
• Comply with all relevant World Relief policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular monitoring and assessment of project activities and analyse project progress and achievements against objectives, indicators and propose necessary adjustments for improvement as well as ensuring corrective actions are taken.
• Ensure timely reporting of project activities and outcome including qualitative and quantitative data. .
Facilitate during training/workshops for local stakeholders and when necessary
Timely produce internal reports in a professional manner.
Contribute to programme designing, proposal development and donor reports as
required.
Provide technical inputs to local partners to ensure achievement of project objectives.
Document project progress, outcomes and best practices for sharing and advocacy
purposes.
• Participate in monitoring and evaluation of the impact of the interventions.
• Support children’s and community’s active participation in the project activities.
• Contribute to raising the issues of education for disadvantage children, especially vulnerable children, at local and national level

• Maintain good relationship with partners at the payams level in order to advocate for the project activities.
• Promote children’s and communities’ active participation in project design and activities.
• Create an enabling environment for children and communities to have a voice and opinion about education, supporting them to have voice at state and national debates.
• Contribute to wider programme development initiatives.
• Actively participate for networking and experience sharing in internal and external inclusive education networking/working groups.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
• Bachelors Degree preferably in Education or College level
• Proven experience of supporting primary education in South Sudan
• Understanding issues facing children and their families with regards to education and protection in post-conflict context of South Sudan
• Computer literate – Microsoft Excel and words
• Appreciation of the developmental nature of education project
• Good understanding of educational needs in South Sudan
• Experience of community facilitation and mobilization
• Good representational skills and a better understanding of Local and International NGOs
• Good spoken and written English (spoken Juba Arabic)
• Be both self-reliant and have the ability to co-operate with others and work with the team
• Be physically very fit, able to walk for distances and be prepared to camp for extended periods.
• Be a South Sudanese by nationality.
