Now we are looking for a Lead Developer whose main focus will be on Linux based Software Engineering Environments.
The responsibilities include collecting information about Linux R&D tools used to develop software for Linux platform, distributing the information to the end users who are using the tools, managing the creation and deployment of new versions of the software engineering environments in close cooperation with Business Units and communicating Nokia's technical and license requirements to tool vendors. Good project management skills are essential to succeed in this role as well as good technical skills are equally important in order to really understand the functionality of Linux engineering environments. Good interpersonal skills are needed in order to be able to roll-out and support solutions to end users. Good communication skills are also an advantage when it comes to working with tool suppliers and subcontractors.

Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS FOR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- B.Sc. or higher degree, preferably in computer science or related field
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in software development, preferably from development of embedded software
REQUIREMENTS FOR TECHNICAL & PROCESS KNOWLEDGE
- 5+ years of Linux/Unix experience
- Good knowledge on Linux software development processes and tools including thorough understanding of build, integration and testing phases
- 3+ years of C and C++ coding experience, experience on coding on Linux/Unix
- Knowledge of Linux kernel, Linux file system and typical open source tools
- SW tools development in open source environment is preferred.
- Previous exposure to Project Management is seen as a definite plus.
- Experience with Agile and Lean software development is considered a plus.
OTHER REQUIRED SKILLS
- Good spoken and written English
- Good coordination skills and ability to efficiently co-operate with both internal teams and subcontractors
