Roles And Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the National Office strategy in alignment with the WV security policy so as to ensure the operational of the National Office are appropriately supported.
- Ensure security risk assessments, Country Risk Ratings and Core Security Requirement standards, processes and procedures are completed in accordance with current Office of Corporate security guidelines and training.
- Provide leadership/management of the security team in the country
- Work with deputy National Director and Regional Security Director to carry out Security Risk Assessments as required/directed.
- Country Risk Ratings are established and updated as required.
- Ensure Core Security Requirements are implemented in crisis situations and critical incidents.
- Conduct security investigation when required.
- Represent WV at local NGO security network meetings and ensure information from these groups is dissemination to relevant staff.
- Build on going networks for sharing information and coordination.
- Coordinate the assessment, development and implementation of the national office capacity building plan for security management based on local security assessment.
- Seek to develop a culture of security awareness and monitor staff compliance.
- Provide regular security report to the National office, Region and office of Corporate Security.
- Ensure that all security incidents are reported in accordance with WV security policy.
- Conduct performance reviews of the field-security focal persons.
- Collect, analyze and disseminate security information appropriately.
Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience
Education
The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training
- Minimum Qualification required: Degree in the related field.
- Experience: At least 3 years’ in proven security or emergency service field (public, private, and government or NGO sectors in military, security or law enforcement services) supervisory/managerial role in military/security.
- Technical Skills & Abilities
- Demonstrate personal values, attitudes and behaviors that are consistent with World Vision Core values.
- Must be a committed Christian, able to stand above denominational diversities.
- Must be able to provide spiritual leadership within but not limited to chapel and daily devotions.
- Must have outstanding oral and written communications and relationship skills.
- Must be willing to perform other duties as required.
- Work environment: Office-based with frequent travel to the field.
- Travel: 20% Domestic International travel is required.
- On call: 40%.
