Duty station: S0S Children's Village Mwanza
Reporting to: Family Based Care Coordinator
Roles & Responsibilities
Conduct Psychological assessment to the children during the admission process for the wellbeing of their lifetime in the program
Provides counseling to children and youth to enable them to coup with their status and find the opportunities within the program
Conducts regular Psychological Assessment and reviews for children in facilities (at least half-yearly) and prepare reports which will guide the management on supporting children
Design Children Program for their wellbeing psychologically
She provides guidance on academic requirements of the children in the program.
Work closely with SOS Mothers to playa significant role in their children's education, stimulating their interest in learning within the home.
Organizes educational and extra-curricular activities which the children will find interesting and enjoyable at the village.
Prepare analytical child's educational progress report
Supports and monitors children's academic performance and formulates strategies for performance improvement
Knowledge, skills and abilities
Bachelor Degree in in Counseling Psychology /guidance and counseling from recognized Universities
Fluent in English and is Computer Literate
Passion with children and ready to work in a busy environment
At least two years' experience, working with children environment from
NGO's set up.
