Rural Energy Agency (REA) is a Government Institution established under the Rural Energy Act, 2005 . Its main role is to promote and facilitate improved access to modern energy services in rural areas of Mainland Tanzania. The Agency became operational in . October 2007.
The Agency is inviting applications from dynamic, energetic and proactive Tanzanians with appropriate prerequisite qualifications, technical skills, competences and experience to fill the- following vacant positions:
POSITION: PROJECT FINANCING MANAGER (ONE POST)
Reports to the Director of Finance and Resources Mobilization
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepares cost projection and monitors financing of rural energy projects;
Collaborates with Project Managers to identify implementation and financial commitment challenges and proactively comes up with solutions to drive execution of the projects: ,
Analyzes all project spending variances and finds ways to minimize impact to project budget;
Responds to financial inquiries on projects;
Coordinates project financial review's;
Administers opening and payment of certificates and Letters of Credits (LCs) for projects;
Maintains financial records for projects;
Identifies cost savings and proposes process improvement opportunities throughout project implementation; and
Performs any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualification and Experience Required
Masters Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting/Finance or related-field from a recognized Institution;
A minimum 7 years experience in financial management and analysis;
Analytical skills in project management;
Computer literate with good knowledge in the use of at least one project
Finance Management application software; and
Performs any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Age Limit: Not more than Forty five (45) years of age.
Employment Terms: Permanent and pensionable.
