Our Client, the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Human Settlements Development(MLHHSD) with support from Development Partners including UK Department for International Development Agency (DFID), Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) and Danish International Development Agency (DAN IDA) has launched the Land Tenure Support Programme (LTSP) to address some of Land Administration Challenges in the Country. The Programme will take three years focusing on: (a) enhancing transparency and benefits of large scale land deals, (b) policy and institutional development, and (c) land tenure regularization. In order to achieve these goals, MLHHSD is seeking to recruit open-minded, self-driven, hardworking, self-motivating, results oriented individuals of high integrity and possess good interpersonal communication skills to play a critical role in supporting the Ministry in the achievement of its Vision and Mission.
In pursuit of these objectives, MLHHSD invites dynamic and innovative candidates to submit their applications for the following positions at the Land Tenure Support Programme (LTSP).
Administrative Assistant –(1 post)
The Administrative Assistant will work under the direct supervision of the Project Administrator.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Typing correspondence and other matters in the Programme;
Maintaining diary for appointments for supervisor;
General record keeping including filing documents in relevant files;
Ensuring that files are handled promptly and in time;
Receiving and directing visitors;
Attending to telephone calls and taking messages;
Safe custody of documents in the office; and
Following-up on outstanding correspondences. '
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
Diploma in Secretarial Duties from a recognized institutions; and Self motivated and ability to work efficiently and effectively even under pressure;
Computer literacy;
At least 5 years of relevant experience; and
Fluent in English and Kiswahili
