Citizen Voice and Action Facilitator - World Vision Tanzania

World Vision Tanzania is seeking to recruit a suitable candidate to fill the following position:

Job Title: Citizen Voice and Action Facilitator    

Reports to: Project Manager (line manager) and technical reporting line to CVA Specialist (NO)

Location; Northern Zone/Central Zone   

Purpose of the position:

The Citizen Voice and Action (CVA) Facilitator is a community level advocacy experienced staff implementing the activities of the Social Accountability.

The CVA Facilitators is responsible for the timely delivery of project activities leading to the expected outputs and outcomes.

Observe mission and core values of World Vision and demonstrate a quality of spiritual life that is an example to others

Major Responsibilities

1. Implement project activities in line with project design documents.

2. Design weekly work plan and discuss with line manager.

3. Build the capacities of staff and other stakeholders in the community.

4. Establish and support networks at sub-county and district levels.

5. Collect most significant change stories, community gathering action plans among other M&E information.

6. Enter data into the CVA database.

    7. Produce monthly project reports.

1. Carry out assessment on community understanding of empowerment,     government policies, social accountability.

1. Ensure annual appraisal of line managed staff against responsibilities and KPI’s.

 Other Competencies/Attributes:

• Computer literate (MS Office)
• Must be a committed Christian, able to stand above denominational diversities.
• Attend and participate/lead in daily devotions and weekly chapel services.
• Perform other duties as required.

 Qualifications:  Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience

•  Bachelors Degree in a development related field.
• Knowledge in advocacy (local and ideally national level), knowledge of CVA methodology is an added advantage
• Strong facilitation skills
• Analytical and Communication Skills.
• Knowledge of community or group dynamics
• Knowledge of basics of the policies, good governance.
• Experience in working with community partners such as community-based organizations
• Experience in working with rural communities, especially community mobilization
• Report writing
