SENIOR ENGINEER- ROADS AND TRANSPORTATION (2 POSITION)

Duties and Responsibilities
Data collection, Civil engineering design, Highway Design, Analysis and modeling
Report writing, attendance to Site visits, prepare Tenders, and contract documents
Contract administration, Drawing and supervision of engineering detailing
Preparation of Expressions of Interest, Proposals and Marketing documentation
Project costing, Project Quality control on engineering deliverables
Preparation specification, Project plans and Project Co-ordination
Co-ordinate and Supervise construction of civil engineering works to ensure adherence to specifications
Train of Junior Engineers and Logistic support of departmental activities
Conduct quality assurance of design and reports produced by department
Liaise with Clients and other professionals on project matters Mentor and Train junior engineers
Any other duties assigned related thereto.

Education/Skills and Competencies required
Bachelors/Msc Degree in relevant field with minimum upper second grade
Registration with ERB and other relevant bodies Membership in relevant professional bodies
Proven Eight (8) years experience and above on Design / Supervision of Road Projects
Technical judgment for the sound design of civil engineering infrastructure;
Project management skills to be able to lead the teams and guide junior engineers;
Computer literacy in relevant design software and basic word-processing packages
Project planning and cost estimation including quantity take off.
