- Be a key team member of Financial Assessments and Organisational Development work with CSOs and donors:
- Lead or be a key team member on financial assessments of CSOs, CBOs and donors;
- Lead or be a key team member on organisational development work with CSOs, CBOs and donors;
- Lead or be a key team member on public financial management assignments;
- Lead proposal-writing for financial assessments and organisational development opportunities;
- Lead or support presentation of reports to donors, CSOs, CBOs and others; and
- Lead, or support the development of relevant thought leadership work.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelors degree from a reputable university,
- Relevant masters degree desirable;
- Minimum of 6-10 years work experience in a reputable professional services firm, ideally in Advisory / Management Consultancy but with a financial / audit background (preferably amongst the Big Four)
- Professional qualifications: ACCA, CA or CPA;
- Experience of working with donors, civil society organisations or governments, particularly in improving financial management and supporting organisational development;
- Experience of working on donor funded projects; and
- Additional qualifications including qualifications in CISA, CIA, CFA and IMIS, Managing Successful Programmes, Prince II are an added advantage

- Understands key aspects of the financial and procurement cycles including from a risks and controls perspective, and have competency in cash-flow, budgeting, income and expenditure analysis and reporting;
- Understands and appreciates core tenets of organisational development;
- Be conversant in the key components of the project management cycle, ideally including strategic planning and monitoring & evaluation;
- Ability to lead a team and to work as a member of a team sharing knowledge and providing guidance and technical advice where necessary;
- Strong and flexible communications skills - liaising with clients, management and staff, in person, by phone or in writing;
- Excellent proposal-writing, business development and presentation skills;
- Well developed problem solving abilities and strong analytical skills;
- Strong workshop facilitation skills;
- Ability to organise and prioritise workload to meet deadlines and resolve conflicting demands;
- Willingness to travel throughout Tanzania and the wider region; and
- Socially confident and able to create a strong presence with clients and the KPMG team, and generate business through relationship selling.
