ASA Microfinance (Tanzania) Limited, incorporated under the Companies Act 2002 (No. 93819) of Tanzania and an affiliate of ASA International (www.asa-international.com), one of the largest microfinance company in the world is going to launch its operation in Tanzania. Presently the company is going to open some branches in Dar es Salaam and its surroundings. We are inviting qualified people to be part of our operations team for the following position. Position: Officer- IT & MIS

I. POSITION PURPOSE
The System Admin will be responsible for the configuration, implementation, and maintenance of various technologies managed by the IT department. This person will focus on the administration of the network infrastructure, desktop PC’s, servers, network equipment, and software applications. The Systems Administrator will assess and identify appropriate solutions to be integrated into the ASA’s operation and make recommendations for implementation.
II. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assists in the planning, design, documentation, and implementation of various systems, desktop PC’s, servers, network equipment, and software applications.
• Monitors and maintains the use of software and hardware system
• Develops, maintains, and monitors procedures for all server backups
• Monitors, plans, and coordinates the distribution of client/server software, service packs and antivirus software
• Makes recommendations for new equipment and services to purchase and works with various vendors for procurement
• Perform on-site and remote technical support
• Assist in the organization and inventory of all hardware and software resources
• Maintains excellent communication with the Corporate IT Department on all tasks and projects
• Creates and maintains good technical documentation
• Provides emergency on-call support on a rotating schedule
• Performs other duties as assigned

III. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES:
• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or equivalent
• 1-3 years of experience required in technology fields, or the equivalent combination of education and experience

IV. Salary Range: Negotiable on the basis of knowledge, competencies and experiences in relevant field.
