JOB TITLE: PROJECT COORDINATOR/ SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE COORDINATOR.
ORGANISATION: CARITAS/DEVELOPMENT OFFICE CATHOLIC DIOCESE OF TUNDURU-Masasi
LOCATION: TUNDURU
REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR CARITAS TUNDURU - Masasi
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
RESPONSIBLE FOR PROJECT WRITE-UP, PLANNING, IMPLEMENTATION, RESOURCE MANAGEMENT, MONITORING AND REPORTING OF THE IRDP PROJECT.
Specific Job Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for proposal writing.
2. Closely work with CARITAS TUNDURU-Masasi staffs in Financing, Monitoring and Evaluation for smooth implementation of the project and achieving the project objectives.
3. Prepare and submit annual work plan and budget of IRDP through the Director in a timely manner.
4. Make sure the project receives the necessary guidance, technical assistance and material and financial resources from where necessary to enable full implementation of the project and achieving the objectives of the project and targets in a timely manner.
5. Ensure the proper utilization of resources provided for the implementation of the project
6. Ensure the submission of the necessary technical and financial reports to CRS through the Director as per the agreement and/or annual work plan.
7. Facilitate the organization of farmers groups.
8. Monitor the smooth implementation of the project and submit regular reports to the Director.
9. Establish links with government and non-government organizations in the project area.
10. Fully participate in workshops/training, and meetings facilitated by Caritas.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Degree/Diploma in Agriculture or other related field.
• Minimum 3 years field level experience in implementing agricultural project(s) focused on production and marketing.
• Good inter-personal skills.
• Demonstrated personal accountability and drive to serve others.
• Experience with or affinity for partner relationships.
• Familiarity with and commitment to addressing gender equality in programming.
• Ability to work well as a team and independently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.
• Good English and Swahili oral and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements/Environment: up to 75% travel time in the field.
