Laureate Online Education in Partnership with the University of Liverpool
Laureate Online Education, in partnership with The University of Liverpool, has launched three innovative new programmes, which leads to the award of the University of Liverpool's Master of International Business Law (LLM), Master of International Finance Law (LLM), or Master of Technology Law (LLM). We are looking to recruit instructors for these ground breaking new programmes.
We are currently recruiting instructors to teach the following modules:
- Legal Methodology
- International Law and Foreign Investment
- International Taxation Law
- International Law and Foreign Investment
- International Financial Services Law
- Intellectual Property Law
- Law of the World Trade Organisation
Experience:
- Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field
- University teaching experience in relevant disciplines (Post-Graduate teaching experience is highly desirable.)
- Excellent written communication skills in English
- Facilitative disposition towards highly motivated adult students.
Experience working in or knowledge of, the UK University system would be an advantage.
We are now recruiting applicants to join our upcoming online Faculty Training, which will commence in as soon as possible. Following successful completion of the training, candidates should be available to teach if required, from November 2011.
CVs should show the applicant's relevant experience, with detailed information concerning expertise in the specific module(s) they are applying to teach. They should also include university posts held, duration, subjects taught and academic publications. Written references will be required for applicants in the second round of the recruitment process; telephone interviews may be required. Previous online teaching experience is not required, as suitable candidates will be trained 100% online.
Teaching is text based and asynchronous, and is not restricted to specific hours. Positions require a high level of commitment to training and willingness to engage in busy periods of activity, including almost daily logins, including weekends, for the duration of the module (8 weeks). Instructors can be located anywhere in the world. Instructors are paid on a per-module basis.
