THE JOB: Christian Aid is working with other agencies in Malawi to eradicate poverty through initiatives that deepen community resilience to climate change, improve health, strengthen Government and civil society institutions and develop pro-poor markets. The Country Manager role in Malawi will bring dynamic leadership to our staff team enabling them to achieve high impact in our programmes and develop new innovative partnerships across sectors. The post-holder will lead an innovative programme that involves partnerships with local civil society organisations, private sector entities, other international NGOs, Government and donor agencies.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: Essential: Substantial experience of international development work at a senior level; experience of leading and managing teams in different cultural settings; experience of managing partnerships with civil society organizations and donors; significant experience of fundraising from institutional donors and others Preferred: Experience of managing partnerships with the private sector; experience of leading organizational change processes; experience of humanitarian and emergency assistance
