The Uganda Community Connector is a proposed USAID contract focused on improving lives in Uganda through the integration of nutrition and agriculture at the community level. Specifically, the Community Connector aims to improve agricultural practices, the nutritional status of women and children, and the livelihoods of vulnerable populations in an equitable and sustainable manner.
The Community Connector principles include using local systems and capacity; using a comprehensive approach to assessing household status; focusing on the role of gender on nutritional and livelihood , outcomes at the household and community level; enhancing existing models; and translating knowledge and learning from other similar program experiences into the Ugandan context.
We are seeking qualified, talented and experienced professionals to fill the following positions based in Kampala, Uganda.
Community Mobilization/Behavior Change Specialist
The Community Mobilization/Behavior Change Specialist will provide strategic direction and leadership for community initiatives aimed a promoting good nutrition behaviors and agriculture and livelihoods practices, as well as mobilize communities to create demand for quality products technologies, and services aimed at improving the status of nutrition, food security, livelihoods, and agriculture and evidence-based behavior change activities and programs.
