2. Majorduties and responsibilities:
· Provide intellectual and analytical input to advancethe work of the African Union Advisory Board on Corruption, as well asenhancing the role of civil society in governance processes, local governanceand corporate issues;
· Assist in developing and maintaining appropriateworking relations with AU Organs and partners of the African Union on issuesrelating to the fight against corruption and good governance;
· Advise governmental authorities, the African Union andother national and international organizations in preventing and combatingcorruption;
· Conceive and organize seminars, workshops and otherrelated activities in the field of governance and combating corruption with various stakeholders;
· Draft speeches, talking points, report activities and specific missions;
· Provide advice on democracy, rule of law and good governance issues, including providing input into official communications, statements and other documents;
· Liaise with AU Regional Offices on democracy and goodgovernance issues;
· Perform any other relevant tasks assigned bysupervisor.
3. Qualifications and Experience RequiredCandidates must have a minimum Masters University Degree in International Relations, Law, Public Administration, Diplomacy and/or related fields.
5. Professional experience required:
Candidates must have at least seven (7) years of relevant working experience in the areaof international public administration, human rights, good governance and thefight against corruption.
6. Other relevant skills
· Computer literate;
· Excellent drafting and reporting skills;
· Good communication and negotiating skills;
· Good knowledge of policy analysis, programme management, implementation and monitoring;
· Good planning and organizational skills;
· Ability to work under pressure and to act withdiscretion in a politically sensitive and multi-cultural environment ;
· Excellent interpersonal skills or social capital
7. Language requirement
Proficiency in one of the African Union working languages. Knowledge of one or several other working language(s) would be an added value
8. Age requirement:
Candidates must preferably be between 30and 45 years old.
9. Tenure of Appointment:
The appointment will bemade on a fixed term contract for a period of three (3) years, of with the first twelve months will be considered as a probationary period. Thereafter, the contract will be for a period of two years renewable, subject tosatisfactory performance and deliverables.

11. Remuneration:
Indicative basic salary ofUS$33,619.00 per annum plus other related entitlements e.g. Post adjustment(46% of basic salary), Housing allowance ($16,819.20 perannum), education allowance (75% of tuition and other education related expenses for everyeligible dependent up to a maximum of US$7,800.00 per child per annum), etc for internationally recruited staff of the Commission.
