The ACQUIRE Tanzania Project (ATP) is a five year project funded by the American people through USAID. ATP uses an implementation model that synchronizes supply, demand and advocacy to increase access to and utilization of family planning focusing on long-acting and permanent methods of contraception; comprehensive Post Abortion Care (cPAC) and prevention of Mother to Child Transmission of HIV (PMTCT). ATP is now seeking the expression of interests for the position of Office Assistant based in Mwanza. This position is open for Tanzania national candidates only.
Scope of the Position
Office Assistant will report to the Field Finance and Administration Officer. The primary role for this position is to ensure cleanliness of the office surroundings.
Specific Responsibilities
- Ensure cleanliness of the office both interior and exterior surroundings
- Make tea for staff and visitors and ensure cleanliness of the utensils
- Assist the Office secretary with the front desk activities as and when required
- Provide courier services to the office as may be required from time to time
- Assist the secretary with photocopying and faxing office documents as will be directed
- Assist program Officers in arranging trips for field activities
- Assist in store keeping
- Performing any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ordinary level secondary school education
- At least two years of relevant experience with reputable organizations
- Basic training in secretarial and office management from a reputable institution is desirable
- Basic computer (MS Office suite) with experience in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook is desirable
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both Kiswahili and English
- Basic training in store and inventory management training from a reputable institution is an advantage
- Excellent interpersonal and team work skills
- Self driven person and ability to work independently with minimum supervision
