Operating at the Group level, the CEO will be a dynamic, experienced executive with great leadership qualities and held responsible for setting the strategic objectives of the group and providing leadership and direction to all activities of the Group and the group companies.
Advises the Board
· Lead the formulation and execution of the Group’s overall strategy and budget, including regional expansion, category selection, brand development and group structure.
· Seek new investments and opportunities for the Group
· Advocate / promote on behalf of the Group and works with high level financial institutions, industry confederations and government departments
· Interface and participate actively with organizations, governments and communities in representing and enhancing the corporate image and brand of the Group
· Manage public relations and maintain a high profile public image of the group.
· Ensure that all parts of the organization, including staff, the Board and shareholders, have access to all information relevant to the performance of their duties and that such information is accurate and provided in a timely fashion.
· Promote a culture of analysis-driven decision making.
· Interface between Board and Group companies
· As necessary, decides or guides courses of action by group companies to achieve their revenue and profit targets
· Encourage group companies by providing them better growth opportunities and innovates new dimensions and working methods to enhance performance at the Group and Group company levels
· Assist in the selection and evaluation of group Managing Directors
· Participate in own self-evaluation, soliciting input from the Board as well as subordinates
· Support implementation of personnel policies which properly incentives staff at all levels at the Group and Group companies and promote employee development
A Masters qualification in Business related field preferably in marketing or entrepreneurship.
· 10 years + in a senior management role in an FMCG company.
· Significant experience leading and growing a marketing/brand focused business across several countries, including strategic planning
· Strong leadership characteristics and entrepreneurial spirit
· Extensive experience within
· Extensive background in sales and marketing
· Significant experience within the Oral Care and/or Personal care categories
· Familiarity with financial data, enabling analysis and interpretation of data in order to make business decisions
· Ability to manage a multi-cultural organization
· Desire to mentor, motivate and inspire all levels of the organization to achieve high levels of performance
· Experience leading organizational change
· Excellent oral communication and presentation skills
· Ability to establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, customers and suppliers
