Description
Provide support to the Head Of Corporate Affairs, Brand & Marketing in the execution of his role in Government, Media and Community Relations and Communication (internal & external) and also in Issues Management in order to achieve the Corporate Affairs strategic goals in line with the Bank wide objectives.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Ensure that the Country's internal and external communication programmes are well implemented.
Ensure the Bank's 'share of voice' in the local media is maintained and grown, and the Bank is seen as a market leader.
Ensure that Country level messages and brand profiling are consistent and standardised to that of Group's.
Ensure a high quality of work is maintained at all times.
Maintain good relations with external parties.
Ensure the Bank newsletter is produced timely.
Ensure that news clips are submitted to the Group daily.
Ensure that all media values received by the Bank are tracked and submitted/ reported on a monthly basis.
Ensure that all Bank events are executed professionally and meet Group standards.
Ensure that all sponsorship requests and letters from external parties are responded to in a timely manner.
Enhance and assist in protecting the Bank's reputation in Tanzania by consistently monitoring, identifying and advising the business of any potential reputational risk.
Assist the HCA by actively managing Themed Weeks/ Activities
Prepare Itineraries, speeches and talking points for CA clients.
Assist the HCA to manage and ensure successful implementation of Community support projects at Group, Africa and local level.
Raise the level of awareness by communicating news on key messages to staff in a timely manner by;-
participating in induction programs
Send emails to staff clarifying issues as directed by top managers.
Ensure Tanzania's articles appear in the Global Broadcaster
Ensure Country's site on iConnect is regularly updated.

Support the Businesses in the roles where they need CA involvement

Qualifications and Skills
2-3 years of experience as a PR practitioner in Corporate PR and Marketing.
University degree or equivalent professional qualification.
An excellent command of the English and other local languages, both written and verbal
High energy level, strong sense of teamwork and a 'can do ' attitude
The ability to combine strategic perspective with the need to act quickly when the situation demands
The ability to prioritise work and deliver high quality output to tight deadlines
Has strong inter-personal skills to interface at a senior level inside and outside the Bank
Resourceful and creative.
Strong decision-making skills with the ability to make decisions on strategic PR issues.
Sensitive to changing environments and the ability to react and pro-act quickly to defend the Bank's position and reputation.
Ability to know when to push the right buttons in delicate situations and to manage expectations of key stakeholders through creative suggestions.
