Trainee Opportunities at Mwalimu Commercial Bank January 2016

Mwalimu Commercial Bank (PLC) (In-Formation) is a newly licensed commercial bank by the Bank of Tanzania, and is in its final state of setting up operations in Arusha, Mwanza, Mbeya, Dar es salaam, Zanzibar, Iringa, Morogoro, Mara, Singida and Kigoma. The bank shall continue with its expansion goal throughout the country. The main shareholders of the bank include Tanzania Teachers Union (TTU), Public Service Pension Funds (PSPF) and National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF). MCB is looking to recruit experienced, self-driven, dynamic and result oriented individuals who are keen to develop a career in a dynamic, passionate and challenging environment.

MCB will recruit 120 new staffs through On Job Trainees (employees being trained at a place of work while doing the actual works) to work in different branches which are being established countrywide.

Description:

Total Available Positions: 120 Positions

Reporting to: Branch Bank Manager, and Head of Departments

Qualification/Required Profile
 Graduate / Diploma/ certificate/preferably in the area of interest: Economics/Marketing/Procurement/Finance/Economics/Sociology/Education/Public Relation/Journalism/Accounts.
 Practical knowledge of credit or finance companies shall be an added advantage
 Working experience as a cashier/teller for the teller position and good in Mathematics will be added advantage
 Good relationship, customer care and strong team spirit
 Ability to promote and ensure a clear, transparent and accurate information on each client
 All positions require perfect English and Kiswahili proficiency, good computer skills and a real motivation to work and grow in a challenging context.
 Ready to undertake Aptitude Test before qualifying for the Job on Training

Duties and Responsibilities
The successful applicants shall be assigned their job duties and responsibilities depending on which category of the job they shall be assigned to among these categories namely Tellers, Cashiers, Customer Service, Online Banking, Credit Officers, Cash management and Client relationship in the branch

Training Schedule
All successful candidates will be subjected to six months special on job training; the company will cover all the necessary and reasonable costs during the whole period (six months) of the training. Remember to keep all your transport receipts for refund, and the company will NOT refund air tickets
The bank has hired experts and consultants in banking industry known as Quality Service Consultants, to foresee and manage the whole admission, selection and training tasks.

In the whole period of six months, the successful candidates will be working for the bank as employee on trainee as well as continuing with practical training classes under professional supervision.
