Job Title: Community Development Coordinator(1 post)
Duty Station: SOS Children’s Village Mwanza
Reporting to: Program Manager Mwanza
Roles and responsibilities
Responsible for designing and redesigning of community development projects/programs.
Develop the community development strategy that ensures sustainability of developed projects.
Lead the implementation of the community development programs/projects within the area.
Monitor trend, processes, implementation and results of any community /development initiatives in his/her scope of work.
Engage community stakeholders in all development activities within the community at all stages of the project Cycle.
Identity and create conducive environment to collaboratively work with strategic partners focusing on community development initiatives.
Responsible to prepare Result based reporting of the implementation of the program.
Responsible for budget management of all community development
projects within Mwanza Program.
Responsible for formulation/strengthen the Community self-help groups and provide constructive supports to these groups.
Works With communities and businesses to support economic development Opportunines,
Knowledge, skills and abilities
Bachelor degree in Community development/development studies from reputable Universities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including effective
public Speaking and interpersonal skills.
Excellent project management skills.
Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
3 years' experience in driving the community driven responses.
