Director of Quality Assurance (Job Ref: DQAl07115) Position summary -:
The Director of Quality Assurance is responsible for auditing the activities of the organisation to ensure and test compliance with the agreed procedures, standards, and contracts. The position is also responsible for preparing audit plans and procedures, auditing both financial and technical activities and reporting the findings to the Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors. .
Reporting Requirements
The Director of Quality Assurance shall report to the Chief Executive Officer.
Key responsibilities will include:
Planning budgets, implementing, directing and managing the activities of the quality assurance division;
Preparing annual quality assurance audit plans for financial, technical• and administrative activities in the organization;
Auditing and monitoring compliance of the organization with the agreed procedures, standards, guidelines, and contracts;
Reporting audit findings to the organisation's Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors and recommending corrective actions to be implemented for all non-compliance found by the auditors;
Assisting the independent external auditor to undertake audits of the organization and service operator as specified in the contract for financial and technical audit services;
Assisting other divisions within the organization to prepare and use manuals/guidelines/procedures for standardizing work practices; and
Providing training and assistance to the organization staff in quality assurance systems and practices
Key Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Water and Sanitation Engineering or Master of Business Administration in Accounting/Finance
Eight (8) years post qualification experience in the relevant field at
managerial level.
Required Attributes
Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
Self-motivated, a team player, strong interpersonal skills, integrity and results oriented. .
