Job Description
• The Electronic Technician is responsible to carry out any task according to work instruction for the position
• Be familiar with Rules and Regulations related to the electrical installations and maintenance requirement
• Ensure that all installation and maintenance are carried out efficiently and to a safe standard according to Rules and Regulation and in accordance with Company requirement.
• Perform daily inspections and maintenance on electronic systems and equipment according to requirement in maintenance program
• Liaise with the Electrical section leader regarding planning, maintenance and repair to achieve optimal operation
• Ensure required stock of parts and consumables for maintenance of equipment within area of responsibility
• Ensure update of any changes in documentation for existing or new equipment
• Committed to safety at work with special attention to the Work Permit system and to ensure Electrical safety
Qualifications
• Relevant qualifications or degree in electronic engineering from a recognized technical college or University.
• Special competence in operation and maintenance of:
- Dynamic Positioning and Vessel Management System
- Drilling and Subsea control system
- Communication and IT system
• Preferably minimum of 3 years or more experience on similar DP 3 Vessels
• Preferably experience from international operations.
Certificates
• Documentation of system familiarization like:
- Kongsberg DP and VMS
- NOV Cyberbase drilling control system
- BOP MUX control system
- PLC controllers
- Communication and IT systems
• Valid offshore survival course
• Valid offshore health/medical certificate
