About the Unit

Yara is the world’s leading mineral fertilizer company; the only one with a truly global presence and a permanent presence in Africa. Yara Tanzania Ltd, commercial activities are divided in two areas of responsibility, covering sales through Distributors and Industrial/Commercial Farmers. The commercial activity is supported by a central and regional based Market Development team which provides training, technical support, runs trails and demonstrations, and a central Customer Service organization which handles logistics and order handling. 

Yara Tanzania Ltd will during 2014 finalize a fertilizer terminal in the port of Dar es Salaam which will give the company an excellent position to further develop the business and to meet ambitious targets for Tanzania and neighboring countries. 

We are now looking to recruit  three  Loading Supervisors  for the Terminal Operations.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities  - Loading Supervisors

• Trucks  inspections
• Incidence and Near-miss reporting
• Assist with loading of customer products as and when necessary
• Assist with waybill records as and when necessarily
• Supervise Clearing of spillage and lumps from the production area and floor  space of the terminal
• Supervise contractors for loading into trucks

Profile

Profile

• High  school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years relevant working experience
• Proven field experience or experience related
• Computer literate at least proficient in windows and MS Office suite
•  Enthusiastic approach and willingness to learn
• Ability to work with a minimum supervision
• Strong communication and listening skills
• Fluency in English and Swahili
