RwandAir is interested in hiring a competent person to fill the following position:
1. Position : DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER (AIRFRAME AND POWER PLANT)
Department: Maintenance
Section: Engineering
Reporting: HEAD OF ENGINEERING
JOB PURPOSE
Day today Organisation and proper functioning of an economical engineering system for Aircraft Maintenance, overhaul and embodiment of modifications agreeable to Aircraft Operation and the established industry and regulatory standards..
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collecting and compiling log entries and related data in a suitable format;
- Monitoring of alert levels and ensuring early identification and prevention of systems and components;
- Monitoring of actions and follow-ups for systems/power plants/PIREPS to ensure scheduled Aircraft operations are not prejudiced;
- Compiling and reviewing of reliability data as required;
- Distributing reliability reports to assist in internal organization and decision making process in relation to troubleshooting and calculation of inventory control economic order quantities;
- Recommending time adjustments intervals for scheduled maintenance requirements;
- Recommending and coordinating appropriate corrective action to restore performance to an acceptable level in cases where a deviation from the performance standard is indicated;
- Recommending and coordinating immediate corrective actions on critical failures in which loss of functions could affect the airworthiness of the aircraft;
- Carryout any other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned to him/her.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- A degree in Engineering;
- Aircraft maintenance experience and training on Bombardier and Boeing Aircraft ;
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience as Planning, Technical Services or Development Engineer with extensive knowledge and skills in Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering Development;
- Computer literate with knowledge and skills in computerized maintenance programs;
- Thorough understanding of Airworthiness Legislation and its application to Engineering Development;
- Previous involvement in a successful IOSA certification project will be an added advantage.
2. Position : TECHNICAL STORES/LOGISTICS.
Department: Maintenance
Section: Engineering
Reporting: Materials Manager
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for quality and quantity of Aircraft spares, tools, GSE and other equipment used for aircraft maintenance;
- Delivery serviceable aircraft materials component to the operation on time in compliance with legal and company requirements;
- Manage the inventory and ensure availability of spares to meet the aircraft demand, while ensuring minimum stock is kept in stores;
- Compiling and reviewing of reliability data as required;
- Ensure that the parts records and well-kept for tractability;
- Be responsible, for clearing, receiving, exporting all inbound and out bound materials parts; Establish periodically reports on stock levels;
- Ensure that before being inventoried and stored, all parts arriving go through incoming stores to be inspected for condition or damage and compliance with the incoming documents, conformity to purchase order conditions and if satisfied, issue with the necessary documents;
- Ensure that all aircraft parts, components, equipment, etc in stores are appropriately tagged at all times and components maintenance records are maintained;
- Ensure that accurate records are kept for all logistics activities and inventories in compliance with all industry and regulatory authority requirement;
- Regularly check environmental conditions ( i.e. Temperature, humidity, etc) under which materials are stocked in accordance regulatory aeronautical parts storage standards and conditions;
- Ensure that all storage facility are kept in acceptable clean environment.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

- A degree in Logistics Management Stores Management;
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Technical stores Aircraft parts;
- Computer literate with knowledge and skills in computerized maintenance programs;
- Thorough understanding of Airworthiness Legislation and its application
