AP2000 is actively engaged in anti corruption work through its online Tanzania Corruption Tracker System Project (CTS) and Extractive Resource Governance Advocacy. The organization also conducts consultancy work on governance and policy related areas. In order to meet its expanding portfolio AP2000 now seeks competent candidates to fill three vacant positions at its offices in Dar es Salaam as follows:
1. POSITION: PROGRAM OFFICER
Location: Dar es Salaam
Responsibilities:
• Developing and managing projects and programs
• Organising and facilitating trainings and public dialogues at national and local level
• Organising trainings and building capacities of AP2000’s network of CSOs, CBOs, Youth Groups and Local Government Officials
• Preparing reports to AP2000’s Managers and back donors
• Writing and editing investigative articles and reports for the Corruption Tracker Online system and AP2000 websites and contribution of Articles to AP2000’s sponsored ‘Katiba Review’ weekly column in The Sunday Citizen
• Performing other related duties as assigned by responsible program line manager
Qualifications /Competencies
At least a Bachelors Degree in a relevant discipline and demonstrated analytical writing and facilitation skills. A postgraduate qualification in development, governance or media related field will be an added advantage.
Experience
At least 2 years experience working in civil society or media as a program officer, journalist or editor. Similar experience in a senior managerial position will be an added advantage
