AP2000 is actively engaged in anti corruption work through its online Tanzania Corruption Tracker System Project (CTS) and Extractive Resource Governance Advocacy. The organization also conducts consultancy work on governance and policy related areas. In order to meet its expanding portfolio AP2000 now seeks competent candidates to fill three vacant positions at its offices in Dar es Salaam as follows:
POSITION: ACCOUNTANT
Specific Duties
• Daily preparation of financial transactions, payments and posting of accounts, proper filling of finance documents and generation or regular financial reports
• Payroll Management and routine correspondence with statutory bodies like NSSF, TRA and AP2000 service providers
• Overseeing of AP2000’s procurement, personnel, finance and Administration policies
• AP2000 Budget Management, Assets Management and Bank Reconciliation
• Facilitating the Auditing process of AP2000’s accounts
• Supporting and advising program staff and management on financial matters
• Performing any other relevant accounts functions
Qualifications/Competencies
At least a Bachelors Degree in Accounting and Finance or An Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Finance. Specialized or professional Qualifications in Accounting will be an added advantage. Experience in using of any relevant Accounting software is a MUST.
Working Experience
At least 2 years experience working as an Accountant in a Civil Society organization, public sector or private sector. Previous experience working with projects will be an added advantage
