Position Description:
Reporting to:School Principal
Scope
The Kindergarten Head oversees all activities within the
Kindergarten in order to achieve the highest level of education
He or She creates a stimulating learning .environment by introducing new, creative teaching methods and by providing a varied, challenging and balanced educational
programme.
Major Responsibilities
Acts as the overall administrative and educational head of the kindergarten, supervising the daily work of teaching staff, and overseeing admissions, fee collection and general matters Prepares an annual budget for the kindergarten in conjunction with administrative staff and the Village office, and ensures the budget is not overspent.
Prepare a Kindergarten development plan and project plans Ensures the educational needs of each child are addressed through continuous monitoring and reviewing of each child's progress; with the support of the teaching staff.
Oversees the selection, training, development and appraisal of staff to ensure that there is a good performance annually, and that they are developed to reach their full potential Reviews and assess the performance of the teachers and identify areas for development
Promotes awareness of the Kindergarten among the public
Develop good relationships with mothers and other co-workers including external bodies that may provide material or logistical support for the kindergarten children development.
Works closely with staff to ensure that established policies like child protection and discipline policies are followed.
Qualifications & Skills
Diploma in Education from any government recognized colleges
At least three years working experience preferably with
Herman Gmeiner School.
Basic leadership skills in education
Basic knowledge on Child rights and child protection
Ability to work with minimum supervision best result oriented teacher.
Computer basic skills especially Microsoft word and excel.
Strong commanding oral and written English
