The successful candidate will be responsible for all production-related issues relating to the publication each business day of the Oxford Analytica Daily Brief. This includes managing copy flow from a team of in-house analysts, sub-editing/rewriting where appropriate, and ensuring the daily delivery to tight deadlines of top-flight geopolitical analysis.
Excellent relevant academic qualifications and proven expertise in editing geopolitical analysis are required, acquired at senior positions in journalism, diplomacy, industry or academic life. A broad understanding of and strong interest in international politics is essential, as is the ability to work well with a talented internal team tasked with generating analysis, often under pressure.
The position is Oxford-based and reports to the Director of Analysis and/or his deputies. Applicants should note if they are eligible to work in the United Kingdom.
