Autodesk in the MEA region is steadily growing and we are today extending our AEC (Architecture, Engineering & Contruction) Sales team with an Applications Engineer, based in Saudi Arabia.

Role/Purpose:
Partners with internal sales reps and authorized resellers in the MEA region and especially in Saudi Arabia to provide pre-sales technical assistance to our clients in the AEC division. This encompasses delivery of the corporate marketing message via product demonstrations which may occur in small, large companies and trade show venues.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Communicates product features and benefits in pre-sales situations. Present Autodesk products to prospective customers in the form of presentations. Presentations may be live, or via Web-delivery mechanisms. Also provides customer consultation, support and product presentations at industry specific trade shows.

Provides product demonstration assistance in customer facing launch events. Conduct professional product presentations and demonstrations in large forums that are Autodesk sponsored in order to generate sales and meet revenue objectives (Product Launch Events)

Partners with Autodesk Authorized Resellers. Provide customer facing presentations in the form of dealer seminars, workshops and "Lunch and Learn" sessions. Work with Authorized Autodesk Reseller technical staff to ensure they are proficient Autodesk software tools. Partner with them to grow, refine, and enhance their presentation abilities.

Supports user group meetings. AE will become proactive in local, state and national industry related user groups. Interaction should include presentations, panel discussions and specific product demonstrations. AE will assist in educating the user groups to publicize the Autodesk message.

Works with Technical Marketing Manager (TMM) to validate datasets. AE should coordinate with the TMM to insure that datasets and related scripts are prepared correctly. Messaging should be clarified and refined to include key features and functionality. AE should influence the TMM with fresh ideas from the field.

Provides Occasional post-sales support. AE may be requested to provide technical support on a limited basis to key accounts. This support should only be performed to continue the strategic relationship with the account and should ultimately assist in future sales. AE should involve existing support channels including Autodesk Authorized Resellers and internal Autodesk Product support.

Product Evangelist AE will become an expert in spreading the product message. AE will convey a positive message to accounts and individuals who are looking for a solution but may not know which product will fit their needs the best. AE will also attempt to find a fit for their products in new environments. AE will enthusiastically assist customers to make the best decisions on the Autodesk solution that will meet their needs.

Requirements/Background:
· Previous Applications Engineer experience in a high tech environment combined with knowledge of 2D/3D software or similar design solutions
· Knowledge of the AEC industry
· Technically sales motivated to work and build key relationships with major accounts executive understanding sales methodology to close deals
· Ability to work in fast paced, highly matrix and entrepreneurial "start-up" environment, requiring superior skills in critical thinking, influencing and managing multiple priorities
· Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
· Fluent in English and Arabic.
· Degree qualified within an industry related academic qualifications would be beneficial.
