FINCA Uganda Limited (MDI) is the very first licensed micro finance deposit taking institution in Uganda, and part of a global network which serves over 850,000 clients in 21 countries. FINCA Uganda currently offers loans, savings and money transfer services in Uganda, one of the most competitive and dynamic microfinance markets in the world. FINCA Uganda is seeking to recruit dynamic, self motivated, result oriented professionals to fill the following positions:

2. Information Systems Manager
Reporting to the CEO, the Information Systems Manager is responsible for facilitating alignment of FINCA’s technology with its operational vision based on the information systems strategy, by putting in place information systems which provide business advantage and increase operating efficiency in serving the FINCA’s clientele. Particularly, the IS Manager reviews the information systems strategy and advise changes in the light of changes in FINCA operations and external environment, and co-ordinates all information systems development initiatives/projects to support the achievement of FINCA business strategy.
Requirement:

Ideal profile:

- University Degree in Computer Science or equivalent

- Experience in Oracle database management and administration

- Minimum 5-years experience in an IT position in a reputable financial services organization

- Knowledge of banking regulatory/compliance framework, information systems policies and practice

- Experience with Windows OS, server configuration and maintenance, networking, and Windows-based scripting languages, and some familiarity with Unix/Linux

- Strong business and technical performance orientation

- Excellent project management skills

- Ability to network and create positive, mutually co-operative relationships with internal customers

- Energy, determination and flexibility, ability to set realistic, aggressive targets, leads by example, empowers staff, actively displays and rewards target behaviors

- High level of confidentiality required.
