EveryChild is an international development charity working to stop children growing up vulnerable and alone. We work to keep families together, keep vulnerable children safe, and get children back with a safe and caring family.
An exciting opportunity now exists to join our Programmes team in the post of Programme Manager. The successful candidate will support both the Deputy Programme Director and the country programmes in developing, managing and evaluating the programmes in line with EveryChild's organisational strategy. Focusing on identifying, developing and supporting the implementation of projects to ensure these projects meet their objectives and have maximum impact and are in line with the EveryChild conceptual and effective programming framework.
The successful candidate will have:
• At least five years of work experience in a relevant role within the international development sector, including at least one year of living and working in an international aid recipient country within this sector.
• Proven engagement with the most marginalised and vulnerable through community led responses.
• Excellent project management skills, including experience in planning, monitoring and financial management.
• Experience of setting-up in new countries, exiting and orlocalisation an advantage
Additionally, the successful candidate will have a relevant Masters Degree in International Development/Social Sciences or equivalent and a good understanding of children’s rights and the international treaties and conventions. An awareness of child protection and/or child participation and the issues for children without parental care is an advantage.
Some flexibility is required as you will be required to undertake overseas travel (two to three months per year).
