International Alert’s programme in the Democratic Republic of the Congo is expanding, and as a result we will shortly be recruiting for a variety of senior management and adviser positions. Our main aims in DRC are to promote community recovery and reconciliation, support gender equality, and strengthen capacities to monitor and evaluate peacebuilding. To help build our expanded programme we are looking specifically for:
- Experienced project and programme managers with at least 5 years’ experience of managing development and/or peacebuilding projects in conflict-affected areas, preferably in Africa
- Specialists in governance and/or peacebuilding with senior advisory experience in conflict-affected areas
Selected applicants will be based in Bukavu or Goma, and will require working knowledge of both French and English. All positions are long-term and carry a competitive salary/benefits package.
If you are interested in working with us in DRC, please send an expression of interest and a CV to Massimo Fusato (mfusato@international-alert.org) by 9th September 2011.
