A. Monitoring and Evaluation
i. conducting research studies which includes field work, translation and transcription
ii. Maintain a current log (and copies) of all internal reports on the shared drive and compile data for district profiles, share it with the rest of the team.
iii. Identify external and macro level studies that can be used as indicators of results
iv. Compile the Annual Activity Plan for the whole office
v. Compile data for the midyear and annual report
vi. Maintain M&E folder on the shared drive
B. Distribution
i. Complete monitoring calls and/or updating the database as is required
C. Other Work Tasks
i. Assist Community Mobilization Department in planning the annual Youth Conference
ii. Travel with the Community Mobilization Department on outreach activities to monitor practices
iii. Complete checklists and reviews as is necessary for your area
iv. Complete one-off projects as is requested by your supervisor
Suitable candidate should have
• M&E background of at least 2 years working experience
• Computer literate and have knowledge of M&E tools
• Creative with strong analytical skills to translate and integrates diverse and complex quantitative and data from a wide range of sources
• Team player; quickly rapport with individuals and groups, maintains an effective network of individuals both within and outside the organization.
• Field experience and have knowledge on how to work with local government
• Good research background and have working knowledge of research tools
• Passionate about youth issues, knowledge of HIV/AID and sexual education, should be dynamic, proactive and eager to learn
• University education relating to M&E field
• Fluent in English and Kiswahili; able to transcribe documents from both languages
• Excellent communication skills, good command of English and Kiswahili both oral and written
Liaison Officer (advisor)
A. Government Liaison
i. Develop/implement a strategy for furthering Femina HIP relationship with LGAs
ii. Act as the primary liaison for Government Authorities; identify focus areas for partnerships
B. Out of School Youth
i. Lead the ‘Information and Guidance center’ of Ruka Juu initiative
ii. Develop/ implement a strategy with out of school youth and youth participation
iii. Identify new partnership opportunities and facilitate partnerships relating to the out of school youth strategy
iv. Identify relevant youth policies, ensure policies are understood thoroughly and explore or identify how policies can be aligned with our work.
v. Spearhead initiative to encourage youth to participate in governance structures.
vi. Organize out of school youth workshop in collaboration with Community Mobilization team.
vii. Identify resources and services that link youth with livelihood training.
viii. Identify opportunities for promoting Femina materials with district governance structures.
C. Distribution
i. Maintain regular contact with distribution agents and act as the primary liaison with the distribution agents
ii. Conduct monitoring calls to distribution agents every quarter; update the database and provide feedback as necessary
iii. Conduct monitoring calls to recipients of magazines; provide feedback to Snr. Management as necessary
iv. Ensure reports and data are delivered by distributors in a timely fashion
v. Update database with quarterly/bimonthly narrative reports from EAML
vi. Identify new distribution channels
vii. Ensure database is kept up to date; ensure no duplicate entries
viii. Plan and conduct annual Distributors Meetings
Suitable candidate should have
• 5 years plus experience working with Government Authorities including experience working at the district level
• Computer literate and have knowledge of Databases
• Creative with strong analytical skills
• Team player; quickly rapport with individuals and groups, maintains an effective network of individuals both within and outside the organization.

• University education
