The Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning Manager will ensure that Emergency Program meets the requirements for data system set up, monitoring, reporting and evaluating its work as set out in the Results Framework, and help strengthen the organization’s capacity to plan, monitor, evaluate and learn for increased effectiveness, relevance and influence.
Skills Specific to the Post
· Relevant work experience in NGO specifically in emergency set up
· Experience of working with data system set up, such as Child Protection Information System
· Project planning experience
· Experience of planning, coordinating and undertaking reviews and evaluations
· Experience of supporting the establishment of M&E systems
· Thorough understanding of and experience in using the main quantitative and qualitative methods used in evaluation
· Good working knowledge of Results Based Management and value for money
· Supporting colleagues in utilizing M&E techniques for different interventions
· Experience of writing review / evaluation reports
Qualifications
· Master’s degree in Monitoring and Evaluation or other relevant discipline
· Excellent verbal communication skills and inter-personal skills (to deal with staff at all levels, partners, external bodies and the general public)
· Excellent written communication skills, including the writing and editing of reports and documents – copy-editing, proof-reading and editorial skills, with close attention to accuracy and detail
· Experience in a supervisory role
· Excellent personal organizational and time management skills (working to deadlines and under pressure, prioritizing workload, multi-tasking and the ability to be adaptable and flexible in a challenging environment)
· Excellent general organisational skills (managing and organising internal meetings and external events such as seminars and conferences)
· Financial management experience A good understanding of the issues involved in sustainable development
