MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN – 4 POSTS
Reports to: MECHANICAL ENGINEER
Reporting Office: Tegeta Gas Plant
POSITION OBJECTIVE
Responsible for execution of planned, preventive and breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting, installing, servicing and repair of generating sets and their accessories.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
He/she will be responsible for:
Performing minor and major maintenance, adjustments and repairs on mechanical equipment including pumps.
Conducting thorough inspection of generating sets and their accessories and report to Maintenance Supervisor for any defects and carry out remedies.
Carrying out visual inspection of equipment and instruments and to report any faults and defects.
Ensure all company safety rules and regulations when carrying out maintenance activities, so as to avert accident to staff and equipment’s.
Proper keeping of working tools.
To assist Maintenance Supervisor in preparing daily, weekly and monthly reports.
Prepare and submit status reports on weekly and monthly basis.
Restoring the system in the shortest possible time during the system/plant outages.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Form IV/VI
Holder of Full Technical Certificate or Ordinary Diploma in MechanicalEngineering from a recognized learning Institution
ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN – 1 POST
Reports To: ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
Reporting Office: Tegeta Gas Plant
POSITION OBJECTIVE
Responsible for operating, controlling, maintaining, testing, troubleshooting, installing and repairing electrical control systems and equipment in gas engines Power Generating Operations.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
He/she will be responsible for:
Performs minor maintenance, adjustments and repairs on electrical equipment including pumps
Ensure and supervise properly of all company safety rules and regulations when carrying out maintenance activities, so as to avert accident to staff and equipment’s.
To carry out load switching at Power House and switchyard
To prepare and submit status reports on instant, daily, weekly and monthly basis.
To restore the system in the shortest possible time during the system/ plant fault outages
To test and perform minor repairs on circuit breakers
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Form IV/VI
Holder of Full Technical Certificate or Ordinary Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized learning Institution
REMUNERATION
An attractive compensation package based on performance and consummate with the responsibility will apply to the successful candidates. The position terms of employment are performance based unspecified contract.
